Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri blames TRS for Nizam Sugars’ closure
HYDERABAD: Blaming TRS government for liquidation of Nizam Deccan Sugars Limited (NDSL), Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri said it’s a classic case of corrupt political system. He termed KCR as the most “intelligent corrupt CM in India.” “While TDP turned profit-making company into a loss-making venture, Congress continued that and finally the factory slipped into debts. The TRS did not even leave loss-making NSDL,” the MP said on Friday.
Arvind said NDSL has a history of 100 years and its units were run by then Nizam rulers.
“30,000 farmers were dependent on the factory and it used to crush 11 lakh metric tonnes of sugarcane,” he recalled. TRS issued a GO in April 2015 with a view to taking over NDSL units.
