A woman accused of shooting and killing her mother in Goffstown is being held in a Florida jail.
Jennifer Clow, 49, was arrested Sunday as she left her hotel room in North Naples, Florida.
Goffstown police found the body of Clow's mother, Sally Miller, 72, Friday in her home at 66 Rachel Circle. Investigators said Miller died of a single gunshot wound.
Miller lived in a quiet retirement community, and her neighbors said they were relieved that a suspect is in custody, but they're outraged over who it is.
"(Clow) had no place to go, so her mother took her in," neighbor Claire St. Onge said. "And this is what she does to her mother."
Clow was arraigned Monday afternoon on a fugitive from justice charge.
"Occasionally we'd talk," neighbor David Kimball said. "She'd go for the mail. Sometimes I'd wave. She wouldn't. She was kind of a quiet person, kept to herself a lot."
"She was a very nice woman," St. Onge said. "She took care of her lawn and she went for her mail and she took a walk around the park. She kept to herself, but she was a very pleasant woman when you talked to her."
Clow is being held without bail in Florida. There is no word on when she might return to New Hampshire to face second-degree murder charges.
