Avengers: Endgame wins top prize at MTV Movie & TV Awards

Awards season came to an official end a few months ago when (*sigh*) GREEN BOOK won Best Picture at the Oscars – meaning only a few months left until it starts again in the fall. In between the MTV Movie & TV Awards provide audiences with the chance to vote for their favorite movies and TV shows of late last year and early this year. The event was held last night, celebrating everything from the very best movie to the best on-screen kiss of the year because, yes, that is important, and we all know it.

Big winners of the evening included the Marvel juggernaut AVENGERS: ENDGAME, which took home the prize of Best Movie, as well as Best Hero (Robert Downey Jr.) and Best Villain (Josh Brolin). Netflix’s movies also took home some shiny popcorn, with BIRD BOX and TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE earning wins for Sandra Bullock, Lana Condor and future He-Man actor Noah Centineo.

Other winners include shows like BIG MOUTH, THE HANDMAID'S TALE and SCHITT'S CREEK, with A STAR IS BORN winning more here than at the Oscars for Lady Gaga's performance and Best Musical Moment.
