Immediate-past Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has revealed that his next managerial stint would more likely be with a national team rather than a club.

Since leaving the Old Trafford side in December 2018, the 56-year-old has had a stint as a pundit with BeIN Sports.

However, he revealed in an interview with Eleven Sports that he would most likely return to management soon.

Mourinho said that his next adventure might not be as manager of Portugal, his home country.

He said, “I want to compete in new competitions.

“I think about the World Cup and the European Championships.

“For a long time I have had the desire to try out such an adventure. Right now, I see myself more at a national team than with a new club.

“Is Portugal the right team for me? Not necessarily.”

Mourinho is regarded as one of the most accomplished managers in modern club football, having won two UEFA Champions League titles and league titles in different countries.
