Last date to apply for free UPSC/MPSC coaching at SPPU is July 3

PUNE: Savitribai Phule Pune University has invited applications for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Maharashtra Public Service Commission MPSC civil services examinations coaching for 11 months. This coaching is conducted under University Grants Commission scheme.
Interested students will have to apply online at http://campus.unipune.ac.in/ccep/login.aspx or www.cec.unipune.ac.in. The last date to apply online is July 3, while last date of payment is July 5.Entrance test (through online mode) for this course would be conducted on Friday, 21 June 2019. Hall tickets will be made available from July 10 onwards on the website.
The entrance exam will have three components. Aptitude test consisting of 50 questions amounting to 50 marks followed by General Studies which will have 90 questions totaling 90 marks. Aptitude test will be of 1 hour with no negative marking while General Studies paper will be of two hours and will have 1/3rd negative marking. This will be followed by a personal interview of 10 marks.
Aptitude and general studies exams will be conducted in a single sitting while final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the general studies and personal interview. Depending upon the caste and merit, the coaching will also entail stipend, free coaching or coaching with a payment of Rs 30,000. 30 per cent seats in each category is reserved for women, added the notification on SPPU website.
