The 2019 Cricket World Cup is moving towards its business end, with the finest ODI sides on the planet in contention to be crowned champions.

The tournament format this summer has seen the top ten sides in the world face each other in a lengthy round-robin group stage, with every team playing each other twice.

With two points on offer for a win, one for a tie or if a game is washed out, and none for defeat, the top four teams after all games have been played advance to the semi-final stage.

When and where are the semi-finals?

The two semi-finals take place in early July, and unlike in the group stages, there are reserve days for both, meaning that is a game is hit by bad weather it may be completed the following day.

When and where is the final?

The two winners will meet in the World Cup final at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s, on Sunday, July 14.

It will be the fifth World Cup final to be held the historic ground, but the first since 1999.
