The Tottenham Hotspur striker could be heading for the exit door this summer.
Belgian media outlet HLN claimed yesterday that Anderlecht are interested in signing Tottenham flop Vincent Janssen, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The 25-year-old joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth £17 million according to BBC Sport, but he has really struggled in north London, scoring just six goals in 42 appearances in all competitions.
Janssen has really found it hard to keep up with the intensity of the Premier League, and now seems like the right time for Spurs to cut their losses on the 17-capped Holland international.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will undoubtedly be looking to improve his squad this summer, and an upgrade on Janssen will surely be featuring highly on his wish-list.
The 25-year-old always gives his all, but it is clear to see that he doesn’t have what it take to help Spurs reach the next level.
