SIDDHARTHNAGAR: A 45-minute compilation of CCTV footage accessed by TOI captures in vivid detail how the January 2018 terror strike at the Mahabodhi temple in Gaya was carried out by three members of the Bangladesh-based outfit Jamat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB).
The footage is part of the body of evidence submitted by the Uttar Pradesh wing of the National Investigation Ag-ency (NIA) in its second chargesheet before a Patna court this January.

The three terror accused planted IEDs at the Buddhist shrine, which is a UNESCO heritage site, while the Dalai Lama was holding sermons there .
The footage shows accused Adil Sheikh, Dilawar Hussain and Ataur Arif Hussain boarding an auto at Gaya railway station to reach Rajpur Mor. They take an e-rickshaw from Gandhi Chowk to the Verma crossing, near the temple. Adil is seen passing by the Jagannath temple carrying a jute bag that was later found by Bihar Police and the NSG on the steps of the main temple.
