Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born co-star Shangela has described them as “two people” who “deserve love” after splitting from their respective partners.

Gaga called time on her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino in February while Cooper is thought to have broken up with girlfriend Irina Shayk earlier this month, but is yet to address the matter in public.

Following their intense performance of A Star Is Born track Shallow at the Academy Awards, fans have been rooting for the couple to get together in real life.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star discussed the intense speculation at the Variety and Mercedes Benz Power of Pride event in New York earlier this week.

“Look, A Star Is Born at the root is a passionate love story and these two people deserve love,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

“So wherever they find it, I’m like, ‘Hallelujah, y’all better get it!’”

Describing the “inclusive, nurturing environment” Cooper created while making the film, the drag star said: “Everyone on that set felt like family, to be very honest.”

He added: “They both of them are really great actors, so when you see them on screen, they have this kinetic energy where you’re just like ‘I live for them. I live for their love.’”

Gaga has previously shrugged off rumours of a romance, telling Jimmy Kimmel shortly after her Oscars performance: “People saw love and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see.

“This is a love song, the movie is a love story.”

Appearing to address the speculation in the wake of Cooper’s alleged split earlier this month, the musician told fans to “be kind or f*** off” before performing Shallow in Las Vegas.
