Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will take Baby Archie on Royal Tour with them when they head to South Africa later this year.
The news has delighted royal fans around the world, and they can't wait to see the little royal on his first official holiday.
But members of the royal family didn't used to take their children on Tours with them, and the Queen left Prince Charles and her other kids at home for months at a time as she travelled to different places on royal business.
They were looked after by their nannies and palace staff.
Princess Diana changed all of this after the birth of Prince William, and she refuse to leave her 9-month-old son behind when they went to Australia and New Zealand in 1983.
So he went with them.
The family and members of their staff - including William's nanny - spent six weeks touring the countries.
Diana and Charles left him at home for many of the official events, but fans were treated to some adorable snaps of him crawling around on a rug in the grounds of Auckland’s Government House.
Kate followed in Diana's footsteps and took Prince George to Australia when he was a baby.
They even included some baby events in the schedule so we got to see the little prince playing with other kids.
They also went to Sydney's Taronga Zoo where he met a bilby, a desert-dwelling marsupial with rabbit-like ears.
They have since also taken Princess Charlotte on a tour, but Prince Louis is let to make his overseas debut.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex - joined by Archie - will make an official visit to South Africa this autumn.
Harry will then go on to Angola, Malawi and Botswana, but Meghan and Archie won't be on this part of the trip.
The Sussex Royal Instagram account shared the exciting news with the message: "TRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to announce that they have been asked to carry out a tour to Southern Africa this autumn.
"The Foreign and Commonwealth Office have requested a visit to South Africa as well as The Duke carrying out visits to Malawi and Angola.
"His Royal Highness will also do a short working visit to Botswana on route to the other countries.
"The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the commonwealth and beyond.
"This will be their first official tour as a family!"
