UP: Farmer killed in Mathura

A 60-year-old farmer, Dileep Kumar, was allegedly killed by an unidentified person on Thursday night while he was sleeping in his plot in Jhuravai village, Mathura.

AGRA: A 60-year-old farmer, Dileep Kumar, was allegedly killed by an unidentified person on Thursday night while he was sleeping in his plot in Jhuravai village, Mathura.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 2am when he was attacked by the suspect with a sharp edged weapon. His wife, Jabo Devi, who was sleeping on another cot next to him woke up after hearing his screams and the suspect fled the spot.
Local residents gathered there after Jabo Devi raised an alarm.
The Farah police station incharge Uttam Chandra said that a case of murder has been registered against an unidentified person on the basis of a complaint of the deceased’s son. "The matter is being investigated and body has been sent for post-mortem," he said.
