A BJP Mahila Morcha activist and her son were shot at in Kanjhawala village near Rohini on Friday morning. Police suspect a property issue behind the attack and are looking for a person known to the son. The suspect has been absconding since the incident.

NEW DELHI: A BJP Mahila Morcha activist and her son were shot at in Kanjhawala village near Rohini on Friday morning. Police suspect a property issue behind the attack and are looking for a person known to the son. The suspect has been absconding since the incident.
Police said that at 6.30am an assailant barged into the house of Raj Rani Devi (60) and fired at her. When her son, Khetrapal (35), tried to intervene the attacker fired at him twice.
He then fled before other members of the family could intervene.
The injured were taken to the Saroj Hospital, where the condition of Khetrapal was stated to be serious. Devi was hit on her leg by the bullet, while Khetrapal was shot on his abdomen and arm. DCP (Rohini) S D Mishra said that preliminary obe indicates the role of one of Khetrapal’s cousins who had a dispute with the family over a property.
