Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI to celebrate CA Day

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in its platinum jubilee year will be celebrating the CA Day, on 1^st July, 2019 in a manner that will connect members, their family, disseminate knowledge, recognize the achievements of CAs, achieve social cause and enable CA brand building.
Giving details of the CA Day Celebration, CA Ganesh Nadar, Chairman of Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI said “This year our Institute ICAI has completed 70^th year and keeping this in mind we have decided to celebrate this platinum jubilee year with events, programs, conferences, workshops, which start from June 30, with Yoga, Health & Women Empowerment sessions and will continue till July 20..
“1^st July. 2019 is CA Day; on this our historic day we celebrate rekindling our memories for what has been achieved and reaffirm our commitment to serve the nation with same zeal and enthusiasm. We start this day with Walkathon where Shri Brajesh Kumar Jha, IPS, Home Secretary, Govt. of Gujarat our Chief Guest will be flagging this event and we will also have presence of RJ Love Shah from 94.3 MYFM” he added.
CA Ganesh Nadar said “After Walkathon, Blood Donation camp has been organised in our premises. This year Flag Hoisting ceremony at our Branch premises will be done by Durgesh Buch, GCCI President, he is first CA to be elected to this esteem post, a proud moment for us, we continue our celebration with Tree plantation drive, cleanliness drive - Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and also planned for charity in Old Age Homes and Orphanage Homes.
He said “Our Branch will participate in the launch of Certificate Course for GST at Sheth Damodardas School of Commerce, Gujarat University, where we are providing them Technical Support."
CA Ganesh Nadar said “On 7^th July, 2019, Dr Girish Ahuja from New Delhi will deliver his lecture to our members on the Union Budget 2019, to be participated by more than 2300 Members, a proud moment. Again on 8th July, 2019, Shri Saurabh Soparkar, Sr. Adv will be delivering his lecture to our members on the Union Budget 2019 again to be participated by more than 1000 Members."
He said "1st July is day when GST was launched pan India, we on 13th July, 2019 are having a full day Conference on GST in New India, this conference is unique since it’s a joint program of 6 ICAI Branches i.e. Anand, Bhavnagar, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Jamnagar and Rajkot to be participated by 1000 members. It has been done to enable networking and knowledge share of unparallel class".
“Its a 1st for our Members, International Workshop on Forensic Accounting & Financial Fraud Investigation @ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 1st time with Royal Malaysia Police at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is being organised to achieve the agenda of dissemination of knowledge about New Practice Area & Opportunities along with “CA” Brand Building with support of Gujarat Forensic Science University. The speakers will be from Royal Malaysia Police – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This has been visualized to enable our Members to have more in depth understanding of the prevailing scenarios in our neighboring Asian countries and how international financial crime and its investigation are done,” he added.
