Scramble for bus, ferry services from Howrah stn

Howrah: Both yellow taxis and app cabs were unavailable at Howrah station, but what lessened the woes of commuters to some extent was that they could take AC bus and ferry services from a stone’s throw distance of the station.
“We had asked for extra bus services for the day. During the peak hours when several long distance trains had reached the station, we guided the passengers to special buses for their destinations.Some even took the ferry service. Those who waited for the taxis had to stand in queue for sometime till we managed to get the ones entering the the prepaid taxi zone,” said a senior officer of Howrah traffic police.
