A 26-year-old undertrial Nigerian, lodged in Mathura jail for the past one year, died on Wednesday morning, during treatment at the district hospital.

AGRA: A 26-year-old Nigerian undertrial , lodged in Mathura Jail for the past one year, died on Wednesday morning, during treatment at the district hospital.
According to police, Kumbha Roderick was arrested last year on September 30 by the Mathura police under sections 14 of the Foreigners Act, sections 420 (cheating), 467 (Forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the IPC and the IT Act, said police.

Talking to TOI, Mathura Jail superintendent Shailendra Maitrey said that Kumbha was admitted to the jail’s hospital on Tuesday after he complained of uneasiness. His condition started deteriorating on Wednesday morning after he vomited. He was immediately taken to the district hospital where he died during the treatment.
He said, his body has been sent for the autopsy and the exact cause of death will be revealed in the report.
Chief medical officer RS Maurya said that the inmate was admitted in unconscious condition around 9:05am and he died at 9:40am.
