LUCKNOW: Chief minister
Yogi Adityanath on Sunday ordered transfer of Maharajganj’s SDM Sadar, Satyam Mishra, for dereliction of duty and non-performance. Maharajganj comes under
Gorakhpur division.
This was the first action ordered by the CM after holding a review of works done at the divisional level.
The removal of SDM in
Gorakhpur division is significant since it’s Yogi’s political backyard and he has represented Gorakhpur for five consecutive terms in
Lok Sabha.
Presiding over a review meeting of Gorakhpur division — which comprises
Kushinagar, Deoria and Maharajganj — to assess the progress of development works, Yogi bluntly said that officials would not be retained if they failed to deliver on the priorities set by the state government. “The state government has adopted a zero tolerance policy towards corruption and dereliction of duty,” he told officials.
Two Padrauna power engineers removedThe CM has also sought explanation from Deoria chief medical officer Dr Dhirendra Kumar, CMO Kushinagar Dr Haricharan Singh and CMO Maharajganj Kshama Shankar Pandey over their alleged laxity in performing duties.
Yogi also ordered removal of two executive engineers of the power department in Padrauna — Hansraj Kaushal and AH Khan. Padrauna, which comes under Gorakhpur division, has reported frequent power outages and recurrent line losses resulting in revenue losses to the power department. Later while holding a review meeting in Gorakhpur, Yogi ordered suspension of three power engineers, including executive engineer AK Singh, Sub-divisional officer Pratush Balab and Junior engineer Arun Chaudharry for irregularities in underground cabling works under integrated Power Development Scheme.
Recently, the CM had ordered forced retirement of 200 employees and action against over 400 employees after reviewing works in various state departments.
