Sultry conditions to stay amid showers in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: As monsoon showers continued to lash the city for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, leaving many parts submerged in ankle- to knee-deep water, the weatherman predicted a few spells of light to moderate rainfall daily till Friday.
Though intermittent rains will bring relief, sultry conditions would prevail between two spells as temperatures are expected to remain above normal.
The conditions would be similar to that of Monday when the maximum temperature was 34.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal. Total rainfall in 24 hours from Sunday evening was 50mm.
Waterlogging was reported from parts of the city including Gomtinagar, Indiranagar, Mahanagar, Aashiana, Hazratganj, Kaiserbagh, Alambagh, Aminabad and Charbagh.
