Man rapes lover’s minor daughter, booked in UP's Sambhal

BAREILLY: A woman and her lover were booked after the former’s minor daughter accused her of helping her paramour raping her at gunpoint in a village under jurisdiction of Hayatnagar police station in Sambhal.
Lodging a complaint on the behalf of the 14-year-old girl, her uncle stated. “The girl’s mother is in illicit relationship with one Faizan for sometimes, and the girl has been objecting to their relationship.On Monday, the woman called in Faizan at her home and helped him rape her daughter at gunpoint. Hearing her screaming, I along with some neighbours reached the spot, but Faizan fled the scene brandishing his pistol.”
Hayatnagar police station SHO Ranveer Singh said, “The woman and her paramour have been booked under sections 376 (rape), 354A (sexual harassment), 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Two teams have been setup to conduct raids at possible hideouts of the accused. Meanwhile, the girl has been sent for a medical examination.”
