Vocalist Anand Bhate was felicitated with ‘Vaishnav Puraskar’

Hindustani music stalwart Anand Bhate was felicitated with the prestigious ‘Vaishnav Puraskar’ which is awarded each year in the memory of Vishwanath Maharaj Ingale, a renowned name in Warkari Community. The award was given in the yearly music program ‘Namacha Gajar’ organized by Kalashri Sangeet Mandal and ABIL, featuring songs of Warkari community, specially Abhangas. The program was held at MES Balshikshan Auditorium, Mayur Colony, Kothrud.This was the 4th year of this award. Bhate is a disciple of legendary Vocalist Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. The national award-winning vocalist is famous for his unique singing style and skill in Natya Sangeet and Abhangas along with the classical vocal.
