The hospitality management arm at CityGate, the multi-use entertainment and office campus on Rte. 59 between I-88 and Ferry Rd. has launched a new brand.

CityGate Hospitality LLC will manage the array of “dine & stay” properties on the 31-acre mixed-use campus, including its anchor, Forbes Four Star, AAA Four Diamond Hotel Arista. The organization formerly was known as CGC Management LLC.

In addition, hospitality industry veteran Dennis Igoe joins the newly named organization as vice president, operations, and human resources professional Marne Warda returns to the campus as HR director.

“Our goal is to be the hospitality industry employer of choice in the western suburbs,” said CityGate Hospitality SVP and Chief Administrative Officer James Adams.

“Becoming an employer of choice is a journey, not a destination,” he added. “As such, we strive to provide excellent benefits along with a fun, rewarding and respectful workplace where associates have opportunities to grow and develop both individually and as part of a team.”

Igoe joins CityGate Hospitality with experience spanning more than two decades. His early career was spent with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and he served as general manager of Chicago’s Kinzie Hotel and of the Holiday Inn Select in Naperville.

Most recently, Igoe was the corporate director of operations for Portfolio Hotels & Resorts where he was directly accountable for a portfolio of 19 hotels and numerous restaurants.

“In addition to his exceptional career and industry experience, Dennis has strong ties to our local community,” said Adams. “This really made him stand out as a fit for our company culture.”

Igoe served nine years on the board of directors of the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau and three years on the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce board.

“It’s great to be back working in the Naperville community,” said Igoe. “Returning to Naperville after roughly ten years in other parts of Chicagoland feels right at home yet, since most of the CityGate campus was developed in those same ten years, it’s a brand new and exciting journey.”

Warda also is making a comeback to Naperville, and specifically to CityGate. She began her professional career in 2013 as a human resources manager at Hotel Arista, the 4-star boutique hotel and an anchor of the CityGate campus, then served as HR director at a corporate-owned hotel in Chicago. She joins CityGate Hospitality in the more expansive role directing the HR function across the array of hospitality brands on the CityGate campus.

“I’m thrilled be back with my CityGate family,” said Warda. “The blend of my familiarity of the brand and culture with the learnings and experience from working in a different environment within the industry has me equipped and eager to make a positive impact on this organization and, in particular, our associates.”

In addition to Hotel Arista, properties under CityGate Hospitality’s management include USDA Prime steakhouse CityGate Grille, Italy-to-table restaurant and market Che Figata, Zorba Cocktail Bar specializing in craft cocktails, sports bar Tap In Pub, Lavazza coffee and gelato shop, fast-casual breakfast and lunch spot Kafenio, Forbes Four-Star Arista Spa & Salon, and Olympus Executive Fitness Center. All are located on the CityGate campus along with the global headquarters of Calamos Investments and an array of businesses including SMS Assist, DuPage Medical Group and Raymond James Financial services.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
