For those who might not know, the film is a horror anthology made up of segments directed by the likes of Mick Garris (THE STAND), Joe Dante (GREMLINS), David Slade (30 DAYS OF NIGHT), Ryuhei Kitamura (MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN), and Alejandro Brugues (JUAN OF THE DEAD).

The five of them take on a 20-minute segment of the anthology, which centers on

five unlucky individuals who are trapped and tortured by a mysterious projectionist as he plays each of their greatest fears on the theater's silver screen.

Rourke plays the projectionist, and the shorts he shows are Dead, written & directed by Garris; The Thing in the Woods, written & directed by Brugues; Mirari, which Dante directs from a script by Richard Christian Matheson; Mashit, directed by Kitamura and written by Sandra Becerril; and The Way to Egress, an adaptation of Lawrence C. Connolly's short story Traumatic Descent, which Slade directs from a script he wrote with Connolly.

Good Deed Entertainment and Cinelou Films co-produced and Good Deed's genre label Cranked Up teams with Shudder on Blu-ray on September 3, 2019. It's rated R for "horror violence/gore, grisly images, language, some sexuality, and brief nude images."
