SSLC Supplementary Result 2019: 42% students clear Karnataka 10th exam

The pass percentage in the SSLC supplementary examinations held between June 21 and 28 has touched 42.47, up from 40.69 last year.

BENGALURU: The pass percentage in the SSLC supplementary examinations held between June 21 and 28 has touched 42.47, up from 40.69 last year.
Announcing the results on Friday, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) said that of the 192181 students who had appeared for the supplementary examinations, 81,614 had passed.
The evaluation of answer-scripts was held in 53 centres between July 6 and 10 by 15464 evaluators.
Bangalore Division had 15 centres, the Belagavi division 14 centres and Mysore and Gulbarga Divisions 12 centres each.
Girls performed better with a pass percentage of 47.67 (33061 of the 69354 examinees passed), while it was 39.53 (48553 out of 122827 passed) for boys. Unaided schools scored the highest pass percentage at 44.96, followed by aided schools 42.27 and government schools 40.95.
Rural students did better with 43.34%, passes while their urban counterparts recorded 41.63%. Amongst 1,438 differently abled examinees, 512 passed the exam.
According to medium of language in examination
Urdu medium students had the highest pass percentage at 55.86 (4716 among 8443 students passed the examinations). Surprisingly, Marathi medium students performed next best with 44.07% (1374 of 3118 students passed the exam) passes. While 43.96% of English medium students passed the exam, 40.99% from Kannada medium cleared the exam.

Davanagere District stood first with 69.53% passes, followed by Bengaluru Rural (62.21%) and Chikodi (62.45%). Belagavi reported the highest number of Malpractices with 19, followed by 11 in Dharwad.
For results and Provisional Marks Statement, students can visit http://Kseeb.Karnataka.gov.in/results or http://karresults.nic.in. Students can apply for photocopies of answer-sheets between July 15 and 19, and for revaluation between July 15 and 24.
PU Dept directs colleges to admit students
Considering the declaration of the SSLC Supplementary Exam results, the Department of Pre-University Education has directed PU colleges to admit students who have cleared it. Colleges can admit students between July 13 and 20 without any late fee payment. Between July 22 and 29, students must pay a fine of Rs 670, and from July 30 to August 6, students will need to pay a fine of Rs 2890 to get admission in the colleges.
