Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Along with the rest of the country, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) is conducting National Lok Adalats (People’s Courts) today in all the district headquarters of the state with 11 Lok Adalat Benches.
Lok Adalat is one of the dispute redressal mechanisms and a forum where disputes and cases pending in the court of law or at pre-litigation stage are settled and compromised amicably, informed NSLSA public relations assistant in a press release.
In the last National Lok Adalat conducted in the state on March 9, 2019, 588 cases were taken up, where 78 cases were settled and disposed off amicably. The total amount of settlement involved in the disposed cases was INR 87,48,367, informed the update.
The disposal data of each DLSAs will be uploaded on the web portal of the state authority at nslsa.nagalandgov.in.
