New fire station in Secunderabad
Secunderabad: A two-storeyed fire station—Snorkel building, in Secunderabad area—was inaugurated by the Telangana home minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Friday.
The newly-constructed building, spread across nearly 282 square yards at Snorkel, is said to be equipped with 15 firemen and one fire station officer.
“Apart from equipment like fire extinguishers and water tanker for fire safety, the building is also equipped with workshop and training rooms,” said district fire officer, Hyderabad Srinivas Reddy, adding that Rs 94 lakh had been sanctioned for the building.
