NEW DELHI: The
National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC
National Eligibility Test (NET) 2019 results today i.e., Saturday, July 13, 2019.
As per the cut off marks released by NTA, around 4756 qualified for JRF & Assistant Professor, whereas, 55701 qualified for Assistant Professor.
Candidates, who have appeared for the written test, can check the scores on the official website - ntanet.nic.in.
The
NTA UGC-NET answer key was released on July 1, 2019 and the challenges were accepted by the NTA up to July 3, 2019 on payment of Rs 1000/- for each question challenged. The NTA had on June 28, 2019 uploaded the Candidate Question Paper and the responses attempted on the NTA UGC-NET website https://ntanet.nic.in.
The NTA had conducted the UGC-NET June 2019 examination on June 20, 21 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2019 in two shifts - First Shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and Second Shift from 02.30 pm to 05.30 pm.

The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.
Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/Institutions. The validity period of the offer will be three years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter.
The number of candidates qualified (total slots or Eligibility for Assistant Professor) is equal to 6 per cent of the candidates appeared in both the papers of NET.
Methodology to declare the resultExample: Number of candidates declared qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor in the subject 'Economics' for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category is the number of candidates belonging to SC category who secure at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for SC category for 'Economics' (x) Total slots derived for SC category (÷) total number of candidates belonging to SC category over all subjects who secure at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together.
Normalization procedure based on Percentile ScoreThe examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of
• Raw Scores
• Percentiles Scores of Total raw scores.
The Percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the Session as follows:
Let TP1 be the Percentile Scores of Total Raw Score of that candidate.
Total Percentile (TP1): 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score (÷) divided by Total No. of candidates appeared in the session.
