A new event has been announced at the Tyneside cinema following a sell-out of the first. You'll have definitely heard of sing-along screenings before but what about eat-along screenings?

Well there are a thing now and what is happening in Newcastle.  And the Tyneside Cinema have picked the perfect film to give the special treatment to.

They invited families to  a unique film-watching experience featuring homemade edible treats to be enjoyed at special moments during the film on Sunday, August 25 - and it proved so popular there will now be a further screening on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.

On arrival to the Roxy screen you’ll be welcomed by Tyneside Cinema's very own Tweedle Dee and given your 'Box of Treats' - a selection of confectionery delights freshly prepared in Tyneside Bar Café.

You can then sit back and enjoy the 1951 Disney classic, when you see something on screen that matches a treat in your box - you eat it!
