Pune: Newlywed man jumps in front of train

PUNE: A newlywed man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Hadapsar on Thursday, after being harassed by his father-in-law and others.
The Hadapsar police booked his father-in-law and other relatives after the man’s mother lodged an FIR on Friday.
The man was a jewellery artist and was employed with a prominent jewellery shop in Hadapsar. He fell in love with a woman who is still pursuing her studies and they both got married on July 7 in Alandi.The woman’s father was not happy with their wedding. He abused the man and threatened him of dire consequences.
The man left his home on Thursday night and went to Kalepadal area and jumped in front of a train. The police found his identity card in his pocket and a suicide note which named his father-in-law and other relatives. They then contacted his family.
