PATNA: A joint team of Lakhisarai police and Special Task Force (STF) nabbed a Maoist Dharo Koda alias Rajesh Koda (27) from village Simratari Korasi under Kajra police station area in Lakhisarai district on Saturday.
Lakhisarai ASP (Operation) Pawan Kumar Upadhayay said Dharo was a hardcore supplier of logistics required for daily use and arms and ammunition to Maoists in Lakhisarai district since at least last four years.
The ASP said that one of the main responsibilities of Dharo apart from supplying logistics and arms and ammunition to his counterparts was to provide information about movement of security personnel in the area.

“His name had surfaced before police after Maoist had torched six trucks laden with sand on Bagicha Mananpur road under Chanan police station area in the district on night of May 26 last year,” the ASP said.
He said that it was Dharo who was provided information to the Maoists for attacking the trucks involved in sand mining. “Since the attack, he was being searched continuously by the security personnel,” Chaudhary said.
“He used to continuously pass on information about the direction in which the force movements used to take place which altered his counterparts,” he said adding more than two dozens of his associates were yet to be arrested.
ASP Chaudhary said that Dharo was in the cadre of notorious Maoist leader Pravesh Da alias Anuj Da who is the in-charge of the Purvi-Bihar Porvottar Jharkhand Special Area Committee (PBPJ-SAC) of CPI (Maoist).
Pravesh carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh declared by Bihar government and Rs 1 crore declared by Jharkhand government.
