Police are on the lookout for a woman who fled after ramming her sports utility vehicle (SUV) into a cab on Mayor Road near East End signal in JP Nagar during the wee hours of Saturday.

BENGALURU: Police are on the lookout for a woman who fled after ramming her sports utility vehicle (SUV) into a cab on Mayor Road near East End signal in JP Nagar during the wee hours of Saturday.
The condition of software engineer Vijesh Ambadi, who was travelling in the cab, is critical, said police. Taxi driver Mahesh Kumar is also being treated at a private hospital. The cab (KA05-AJ-4963) was moving towards Nagawara at 2.30am when the Jeep (KA18-MH-0279) collided with it.

"CCTV footage shows four women coming out of the Jeep and running away. When we reached the address of the woman suspected to be driving, she denied any role in the accident. We're collecting more evidence," said police, adding that the address and other details of the injured are yet to be collected.
Scooterist killed after vehicle collides with bike
A 38-year-old man died after his scooter collided with a motorcycle at Raghavendra Block in Hanumanthnagar in the wee hours of Thursday.
The deceased, Ravindra Rao, was resident of Giri Nagar and a private firm staffer. The accident occurred at 12.30am when he was returning home after night shift. During the fall, Ravindra hit his head on the edge of the footpath and sustained severe injuries as he was not wearing a helmet. Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital where he died on Friday.
