In recent times, a flood of capital has enhanced the ability of Indian entrepreneurs to dream big. And backed by innovation, ingenuity and an indomitable spirit, they are now transforming ideas into action at greater scale. There is a special excitement about startups because entrepreneurship is not just about earning a living, but also chasing a dream and changing the world. ET recognises this, which is why our coverage of startups is unmatched in depth and breadth.

Starting today, ET will unveil the contenders who have made it to the shortlist. We begin with the Bootstrap Champ (those who have built a startup without external funding) and the Top Innovator categories. There are also awards saluting students, women entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurs and investors, as well as those who return with bigger and better ideas.

ET reached out to over 50 of India’s top entrepreneurs and investors who helped identify the highquality group from which the final shortlist of candidates was chosen. ET’s editorial team worked with Tracxn as its knowledge partner to compile this listing of India’s brightest entrepreneurial talent.
