Procedures to liquidate assets in South Korea from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which was responsible for forced labor mobilization, are set to begin this month. Forced labor victims have demanded meetings to discuss compensation from Mitsubishi on several occasions, but have received no response. On July 16, a group of forced labor victims announced that they will apply to Daejeon District Court to initiate procedures for selling six patents and two trademark rights from Mitsubishi within this month.
