England are Cricket World Cup champions - and the Lionesses one of the best women's football sides in the world.

It's been a busy few weeks of sport, with the Lionesses capturing the hearts of the nation before England lifted the World Cup trophy at Lord's.

Jofra Archer delivered a Super Over to beat New Zealand in London on Sunday, July 14.

And after the win, the men's cricket team were backed to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Team Award.

But what about the SPOTY Award itself? We've taken a look at the odds in the wake of the tournament.

Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes of England wait for the presentation after the Final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between New Zealand and England

Ben Stokes, all-rounder with Durham and England, is currently favourite to take home the prestigious gong.

The Geordie has favourable odds, ahead of his teammate Joe Root, who also ranks highly.

The pair have an Ashes tournament to prepare for, with England welcoming Australia to Edgbaston at the start of August.

Among the other front-runners are Lewis Hamilton, who won this weekend's British Grand Prix, and Raheem Sterling.

Dina Asher-Smith and Geraint Thomas are also in the running, bookmakers reckon.
