Student accommodation is notorious for being, well, a bit gross.

Many of us will remember walls slick with mould, pizza boxes piling up in the corner, and a mystery smell that never seemed to leave no matter how much you clean.

One student halls in Dorset changed the game with its rooms that resemble high end hotels more than being a place for teenagers to set up their first home-away-from-home.

The penthouse in Bournemouth boasts sea views, en-suites and kitchens to welcome students home after a hard day’s studying.

But other places around the country have also been stepping up their game and are offering all manner of comforts to make their new tenants feel right at home.

True student, Glasgow

Thanks to a giant slide, taking residents from the first floor to the ground floor, students no-longer have an excuse for being late to that 9am lecture.

If that wasn’t fun enough, the indoor Festival Zone features a unique music caravan in its own field. It would make the perfect addition to your Instagram grid.
