Two-year-old twins, Safa and Marwa Ullah, who were joined at the head have finally been separated after a 50-hour surgery spread across a five-month period.
According to Metro UK, the separation of the twins took around 100 doctors and took place at the Great Ormond Street, London. The series of operations began last October and the twins were finally detached on February 11, 2019.
It was reported that before doctors could even start working on the girls, they got 3D prototype of their brains to practice with.

They also used Virtual Reality to create an exact replica of the girls’ anatomy that allowed surgeons to visualise what was in store for them.
After the surgery, both girls are now doing well and are living at a London address with their mother Zainab Bibi, 34, grandfather Mohammad Sadat Hussain, 57, and uncle, Mohammad Idrees.
Their father died of a heart attack while their mother was pregnant with them.
Mum-of-nine, Ms Bibi, from Charsadda in Pakistan said, “We are indebted to the hospital and to the staff, and we would like to thank them for everything they have done. We are extremely excited about the future.”
