Man molests 10-year-old girl after maid lets him into Dubai villa

Dubai - The electrician has also been charged with trespass.

An Indian electrician went on trial on Wednesday at the Dubai Court of First Instance on multiple charges, including molesting a 10-year-old French girl.
According to public prosecution records, the 43-year-old technician molested the girl at her parents' villa in Jumeirah on several occasions in 2018 after the housemaid, a 43-year-old Sri Lankan, let him inside the premises.   
The electrician has also been charged with trespass. He and the housemaid were both charged with having illicit sex. The sexual encounters date back to March 2019.
The housemaid is also accused of helping the man getting illegal access into her employer's house.
Both have been detained.
The prosecution investigators heard from the girl in the investigation room how the male accused would visit the maid at a time when her parents were not at the villa.
She said that he would sit next to her while she watched TV with her siblings in the living room. The electrician would sit in a way to touch her and move closer to her while the girl tried to get away from him. He would touch her inappropriately several times and then ask her not to tell anybody about it. The girl did not tell her parents or anyone for some time as she felt confused and scared. 
The maid told her to keep the matter a secret when she confided in her.
The girl's mother said she got very surprised upon hearing from her daughter that the male defendant entered the living room. "That man was only allowed inside the maid's room. My daughter told me that he groped and touched her in a bad way repeatedly over a long span of time."
The two defendants will be sentenced on July 31.
