Youth held for raping eight-year-old girl in Ballia
A youth was arrested in Ballia district for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl on Wednesday.

VARANASI: A youth was arrested in Ballia district for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl on Wednesday.
Mukesh Chauhan, the accused, was arrested and booked under sections 376, 506 of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
According to reports, Mukesh lured the girl who was playing near a temple. He took her to his house to show her a cartoon. There, he allegedly raped her and also threatened her not to speak about it.
After returning home, the girl narrated the ordeal to her mother.
The girl's mother then went to the police station and lodged an FIR against Mukesh.
