On Tuesday, Reggie Bullock signed with the Knicks. On Wednesday, he had spinal surgery.

The shooting guard had originally agreed to a two-year, $21 million deal with New York before his physical exam uncovered the “cervical disc herniation,” which is in the upper back by the neck. The Knicks, as a result, reworked his deal at a much lesser salary — less than $5 million per year, according to a source — with a team option in the second year, as announced Tuesday.

According to the Knicks, the 28-year-old underwent surgery in Manhattan on Wednesday to repair a herniated disc. The team did not provide a timeline for his recovery but a herniated disc is a complicated injury and the surgery is often a last option.

Bullock’s agent, Dave Bauman, has complimented the Knicks to multiple outlets for accommodating his client.

Bullock played 63 games last season with the Lakers and Pistons, averaging 11.3 points on 41 percent shooting. He is a solid defender, which is a rarity for the Knicks on the perimeter, but also a journeyman joining his sixth team since being drafted 25th overall in 2013.

Bullock’s surgery was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

With the money saved in the Bullock deal, the Knicks signed forward Marcus Morris to a one-year, $15 million deal.

Morris had reneged on a two-year, $20 million deal with the Spurs to join the Knicks. He then parted ways with his power agent, Rich Paul, as the Daily News reported.
