Love Island's Anton Danyluk has revealed why he had to leave the villa that time.

The Scottish gym owner had to spend a night away from his fellow Islanders after falling ill. A statement from Love Island read: “After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight's episode. He has since returned to the villa.”

Anton has now spoken about his illness, and explained that it was down to dehydration.

"They check your water intake and I was drinking more than anyone in the villa," he told The Scottish Sun. "The problem was that I was training on hot days and drinking eight cups of coffee a day."

"It was my own fault but I was just put on a drip to get the hydration levels up.

"I didn't feel ill, but they wanted to look after me. Initially they thought because of stomach pain it could have been my appendix but it was just dehydration."

Poor love.

Soon after leaving the villa, original Islander Anton revealed that he was disappointed to have not made it to the final with his ladyfriend Belle.

"Being the first guy in, I kind of wanted to be the last guy to leave," Anton told Cosmopolitan UK. "Little bit gutted to fall at the last hurdle but just excited for the future.

"I took each day as it was. You don't know if tomorrow is going to be your last day."
