Betting Special: Haller 12/1 to reach 16 Premier League goals in debut West Ham season

West Ham United have broken their transfer record to bring Sebastien Haller to the London Stadium.

The Hammers paid Eintracht Frankfurt £40 million for the Frenchman's services and bet365 have a range of markets available on his performance this season.

Having netted on 15 occasions in the Bundesliga last term, Haller is 40/1 (41.0) to be the Premier League's top goalscorer in the upcoming campaign.

The 25-year-old was also on target five times in nine Europa League games as his former club reached the semi-final stage before losing to eventual champions Chelsea on penalties.

While Haller made a handful of appearances for the France’s Under 21 side when he was eligible to do so, he’s yet to play for the senior side.

With Les Blues boasting a power-packed forward line it seems unlikely that will change in the coming months and West Ham will hope that their new signing can benefit from the regular rest that a lack of international commitments provides.

As well as the Golden Boot, bet365 also offer a banded market on how many goals Haller will score during his debut Premier League season.

Six or fewer is available at 4/1 (5.0) with the online bookmaker, who make seven to nine the favourite at 15/8 (2.88).

It's worth noting that Haller has reached double figures in four of the last five domestic seasons and having paid a club-record fee, he'll be expected to hit the ground running at the London Stadium.

Marko Arnautovic top scored for the Hammers last term with 10 strikes before leaving for Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG this summer, so Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping for an immediate impact from the new arrival.

Haller is 2/1 (3.0) to finish on 10 to 12 league goals in 2019-20. Having netted 15 league goals in two of the last three seasons - one with Frankfurt and one with Utrecht - the new arrival is 9/2 (5.50) to finish with 13 to 15 strikes to his name this time around.

16 goals would represent the striker's best haul in four years and he's 12/1 (13.0) to reach that landmark during his first season in the Premier League.

West Ham start their season by hosting reigning champions Manchester City at the London Stadium on August 9. The Hammers are currently 10/1 (11.0) to kick-off their campaign with a victory.
