'Mission Mangal' trailer launch: Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and the ensemble cast talk about the incredible project at the event

A while ago we informed you that team 'Mission Mangal' is all set launch the trailer of the film. Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan took to their social media accounts to share the news about the launch. Helmed by Jagan Shakti, the movie also features Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Mohan and Sharman Joshi in major roles.
'Mission Mangal' depicts the story of India's milestone achievement Mangalyaan (Mars Mission). The scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and marked India’s first interplanetary expedition.
The stage is all set for the launch of the trailer, in a short while we will come back with the latest updates from the event.

Talking about the film, Akshay said, " Who will leave the opportunity of producing as well as acting in India's first space film? Anyone would say yes! and also a chance to work with such an ensemble cast."
Vidya averred that we don't take pride in our sleeves of our country and for that such stories are needed to be showcased, "Balki and Jagan came up to me and they approached for the film and I instantly said yes! They narrated me the story and I think for the very first time in my career I have signed a film immediately after the narration. Later they told me who all are they approaching for the film, although Akshay was already on board. I just felt that the story needed to be told. I feel that we Indians don't wear the pride on our sleeves for our country and I am so glad that today movies are being made which are making us aware of what a great nation we are. Our achievements are great and we should start celebrating them".
"We all were just one big happy team and as women I think in this film we have just built each other up and we had an amazing time working and I am so fond of all these ladies sitting here
today and of course the men too", Sonakshi added.
Furthermore, when questioned about including more number of women in the team, Nithya answered, "" This project in ISRO had equally these number of women working or more may be so I don't think it was exaggerated for the film. My aunt actually works in ISRO. She is a scientist so we know as Jagan (director) as we are from Bangalore that the number of women working on this project was more."
"I remember very clearly when Jagan came to me and showed me the image I remember when I saw it for the first time I saw a regular woman. Women you think are just housewives or homemakers and they had sent this orbital to Mars which is amazing. This film shows the great contribution of women as much as it shows the contribution of men", added Vidya.
Finally, commenting on the current hotbed, which is Kangana Ranaut's ugly verbal spat with media and also about actors' relation with media, Akshay mentioned, "Thodi bahot nok-jhok rahegi, but I hope this issue must get resolved soon because as actors we really need you (media) and vice-versa. Too much is happening since last few days I just hope that everything gets solved".
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15,2019.
