Spurs went with a classic design for the kit to be worn in their first full season at their new stadium, with only minor changes made to last year's edition.

The white home kit in particular looks to be almost identical to last season's while the away kit strip has a touch more originality to it, featuring aĀ purple graphic on the front with a pattern that has the word 'Spurs' woven in multiple times.

Despite this, fans were still unhappy with the design created by Nike - who have been making and sponsoring Tottenham's kit since signing a Ā£30million deal two years ago.

One fan questioned if theĀ sportswear giants had even put in any effort in designing the new kits.

Another wrote in a condemnatory post on Twitter: 'Prize for the most dull and uninspiring kit launch of the summer.'

However, Harry Kane insisted he is a big fan of the kits and spoke of his admiration for the new designs.Ā

The England striker said: 'Itā€™s a special time at the club right now. The team has been making great progress, and with the move to the new stadium it feels like we have real momentum behind us.

'The kit looks great, it has a classic feel to it, itā€™s 100 per cent Spurs and I canā€™t wait to wear it.'
