The Allegheny County Health Department is advising residents in Coraopolis of a strange-acting feral cat that has been reported by multiple people. The cat has been reported near the 2400 block of State Avenue. The cat is short-haired with mostly black fur and a white "mustache." It does not have a collar. The Health Department said any resident who sees the cat should not approach the animal and instead call the Coraopolis Police Department at 412-264-3000 to report its location. The Health Department reminds the public to always avoid stray and wild animals to avoid potential exposure to rabies.
