Of six victims from the crash admitted to
JJ Hospital in Byculla, only Halima Idrisi (28) is critical. She needs reconstructive surgery for her right hand but her kidneys are not functioning well enough for her to undergo surgery.
“She has breathing issues too,’’ said a doctor. Halima said she has a lot of pain in her right hand and abdomen. “Doctors have been attentive but said they can’t promise she will be cured,’’ said a relative.
The other five patients, including four from the Salmani family that lost four members in the crash, are doing well and could be discharged within two days.
