It’s finally here!

The eagerly-anticipated live-action remake of Disney’s The Lion King will officially be released across cinemas in Scotland today.

The animated classic features the voices of Donald Glover as adult Simba and Beyonce as Nala, and is already proving a hit with critics and celebrities who attended the star-studded London premiere last Sunday.

The stellar special effects featured in the film, which marks the 25th anniversary of the original that grossed $968.8 million at the box office back in 1994, will definitely impress old and new fans.

The new king

The re-imagined film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also directed the remake of The Jungle Book, which was released in 2016.

How does the cashback offer work?

All cinema-goers need to do is sign up online to get a free TopCashback account and submit a picture of their receipt online or via the TopCashback app.

TopCashback will then track your purchase and reimburse your account with £10 to cover some or all of the cost of your ticket.

There is a minimum spend of at least £5 to qualify for the bonus, and you will only get back the exact amount spent up to £10, so if you pay £6 for your ticket, you'll only get £6 cashback.

The handy money-saving offer is running until 8th September and can be used on any film during that time period.
