Aditya Pancholi gets interim protection till August 3 from Mumbai court in rape case
Aditya Pancholi has been granted interim protection till August 3 by the Dindoshi sessions court in a rape case filed against him by a Bollywood actress. The actress has alleged that he drugged and raped her on several occasions.

On June 28, an FIR (First Information Report) was filed against Pancholi at the Versova police station under sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc. with intent to commit an offence), 384 (extortion), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
In her complaint, the actress alleged that between 2004 and 2006, Pancholi tried to establish a forceful relationship with her by spiking her drinks. She also claimed that he tried to extort money from her once she became famous by blackmailing her with compromising photographs taken when she was drugged.
The actress had earlier said that she went to the police when he exploited her, but alleged that despite her complaint, Pancholi was let off with just a warning.
Meanwhile, Pancholi has denied all the allegations levelled against him. After the rape case was filed against him, he told ANI over the phone, "I am being falsely implicated in this case. I have all the evidence and video in this case."
"I am ready to cooperate with the Mumbai Police. If they will call me for my statement, then I will cooperate. I am ready for investigation. I knew that a case will be registered against me. I am not going anywhere. The police have not approached me after the FIR was registered," he added.
The Versova police recorded Pancholi's statement on May 12, after receiving a complaint from the actress's sister via email.
