Nagpur: NMC razes three illegal temples

The anti-encroachment squad of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Friday razed three illegal religious structures across the city.

NAGPUR: The anti-encroachment squad of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Friday razed three illegal religious structures across the city.
Armed with an excavator and city police personnel, the enforcement team led by assistant municipal commissioner Ashok Patil and enforcement inspector Sanjay Kamble started the razing work from Dhantoli zone where they demolished a temple constructed in NMC’s Imamwada Isolation Hospital.
Later, the team razed another temple in Kachore Nagar, Chinchbhuvan.
During the day, the team also razed the compound wall constructed over nuallah in Republican Nagar, Misal Layout. The team also demolished illegal construction in Thavre Colony and seized scrap material kept on road near Mokshadham.
