Keyirangding Hegul, tournament guest while unfurling the flag at the the Phek Town 2nd Inter High School Tournament which began on July 19.
PHEK, JULY 19 (MExN): The 2nd Phek Town Inter High School Tournament under the theme ‘Believe it, Achieve it’ organized by Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union(PTCSU) kick-started today at Phek Local ground on July 19.
Keyirangding Hegul, Project Director, DRDA, Phek was the inaugural tournament guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Keyirangding Hegul complimented the PTCSU for organizing such a platform to showcase sporting talents. He motivated the students to exhibit their talents, discipline and dedication to progress in sports. He also reminded the students that an academic field of study alone is not education but excelling in the field of sports is also a part of education.
Welcome note was delivered by President, PTCSU, Vechihu Khamo while the programme was chaired by Speaker, PTCSU, Surhoveyi Khesoh. It began with invocation by Chivo Medeo, Youth Director, CYE, PTBC, and a special number presented by Kuluvelu Swuro. Administering of oath taking to the participating teams was done by Vezoto Rhakho, Games & Sports Secy, PTCSU.
The tournament will continue till July 19. Altogather, 8 high schools will be participating.
