The
Allahabad HC on Friday issued a notice to PM Modi on BSF jawan Tej Bahadur
Yadav’s plea challenging his election as MP from Varanasi in 2019, and sought a reply before the next hearing on August 21.
Yadav was to be SP’s candidate from Varanasi, but his nomination was rejected on May 1 after he failed to submit a certificate that he was not sacked from BSF for either corruption or disloyalty.
He alleged that the returning officer had done so under pressure from Modi, and that the PM’s papers should also have been rejected as he had not given details of his family.
