Kourtney Kardashian is Pooshing for healthier snacks at her kids’ school

Kourtney Kardashian is dedicated to living sustainably and healthily, and her children’s school environment is no exception.

In her most recent post on her wellness site Poosh, Kourtney, 40, wrote about the importance of standing up for the health values of one’s community. “You don’t have to donate large sums of money, create a foundation or cause a scene to chip away at little (or big) issues in the world, starting with your community,” she said. “I’ve found that simply using my voice to stand up for small changes that add up to big impacts is so effective at not only creating change, but setting an example for my children.”

Acknowledging that she may not be “the loudest or the most aggressive” in the room, she stated that she is steadfast in her dedication to promoting healthier lifestyles, starting with the food her children Mason, Penelope and Reign eat. “When it comes to my kids’ schools, seeing what kind of meals and snacks are provided can be unsettling … processed foods, less than fresh, inorganic produce, etc.,” she wrote. “But as moms, it’s in our power to raise some awareness and rally for healthier options.”

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star wrote that she’s spoken to her children’s principal about the food served to the student body, as well as the single-use plastic products within the school.

“It may seem annoying, but in the long run, I’m doing it for my children and their futures,” she said. “Dialogue picks up momentum, and momentum stirs change.”

Kourtney also added that she instills the importance of living sustainably within her kids. For her part, she uses her Poosh-branded water bottle, reusable snack bags and beeswax food wraps to cut down on waste.

“It may seem like change is out of your reach, but truly it’s within all of our grasp,” she concluded. “I practice using my voice in my community in an effort to make improvements in our environment and health, and I truly feel like bringing my kids into the mission is the legacy I can leave behind.”

Wonder how much Poosh back she has encountered thus far.
