Ace musicians Sound Sultan, Dare Art-Alade, Peter Okoye and actress Uche Jombo were among top celebrities from the entertainment world who hailed former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi, who retired from the national team after 13 years.
“Mikel, Mikel, Mikel, how many times did I call you? Thanks for doing a good job,” Sound Sultan wrote on his Instagram page.
Reacting to the news, Peter Okoye of the P-Square fame wrote, “Thank you so much captain Mikel. You made us proud all the best.”
Popular musician and producer Dare Art Alade commented with the word “Legendary” under Mikel’s original post.
Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu; Runtown, MTV Base presenter EhizOkoeguale were some of the entertainers who also appreciated the Trabzonspor midfielder for the job he did for the Eagles over the years.
“Thank you captain, enjoy your retirement from international football,” Jombo wrote.
Ebuka wrote, “Thank you for everything.”
